I'm really disgusted with the WiFi service. I bought a years subscription in June while at Burford used it for 5 days. My son is away with his grandparents and can't log on its asking him which package he wants. I've not changed any login details and the want paid twice. I feel a demand for a refund coming on!

Two things spring to mind. Firstly that you might not have logged out correctly which is preventing him logging in. Or he is not using the access code that you got when you purchased the time online. Does if have access to this code?

There isn't an access code with Wi-Fi on CC sites, sometimes it is difficult to log in and I, have to select BBC.COM to get the log in page to come up, not sure why but I, read it on a notice in the Information Centre at Chirk CC site.

That  is a different problem and device dependent. You still have to put in your access code, which is email address plus password to log on. If you have been logged in  on another device and not logged out fully, this will not be possible.

Presumably if the previously used device was switched off whilst still logged in it should not prevent connecting with a different device, Doesn't for me at any rate.

I have generally found this to be the case. However, the wifi on site is full of surprises, particularly on the slower installations. It once took me the best part of a day to log a device out.

I believe it is supposed to log you off after a certain period of inactivity, but in my experience this does not always happen, so you do need to be very careful to log off before leaving a site if a different device is to be used on the next site.

We had my sister with us in April and I allowed her to use my log in on a few occasions.  She was very bad at not remembering to log off, and this of course prevented anyone else from using the access.

Despite explaining the problem to her several times, she just did not understand that if she was the last one to use the access before we left our last CC site (we went to Holland and she flew back to Norway from Amsterdam), then we could well be unable to use our 12 month subscription on our next visit to a CC site.

I made sure she had logged off before leaving Black Horse Farm, by logging on myself!

As said, you log in using your e mail address and the password you gave at purchase.

When on a CC site I alwys copy the logout address into an icon on desktop placing it in the centre of the screen then its a simple click to log out and avoid being locked out.
