Mayday Warning

When we arrived back at the end of June from our long holiday in France we had received a couple of letters from Mayday informing us that our recovery had expired.  Initially I thought I would just renew then I realised that as a month had passed it didn't make sense as I would simply have wasted a months usage. So instead I decided to start afresh. I tried to do this online but after 3 attempts when it crashed at the payment stage, I eventually rang the following day and joined over the phone.

Our Credit card bill arrived yesterday and my wife noticed that we had been charged 4 times for the transaction!  A quick phone call was made and it would appear they knew that there had been a problem with the online application at the end of June. The company who deals with this has set up a team to deal  with the many ( hundreds?) who have been affected and hopefully all should be sorted by the end of July.

For those who have recently renewed or tried to online, it may well be worth checking your Credit/Debit accounts
