Mayday policy wording regarding displaying tax disc

I have just recieved my Mayday renewal documents and was surprised to see that policy document general exclusion page 13 clause 12 still states "The following is excluded from your cover: 12. Any insured incident where the insured vecicle des not have a current valid Road Fund Licence Disc on display". Bearing in mind that the DVLA has not issued such discs since last October I called Mayday/Green Flag where the agent was as surprised as I was, but assured me that they would not use that clause as a reason to refuse assistance and that he would bring the matter to the attention of the relavent team.

Green Flag are keen to point out that the policy is a legal document and that reading and understanding it is a condition of renewal, I therefore can't help wondering how this clause has escaped their notice, given that it is over 12 months since the government announced the end of the tax disc.
