Mayday (Green Flag) long wait for assistance !

I have been with the Club & Mayday recovery service for a number of years now, and have never needed to use the Mayday service until this year.

Now I have just had to use it for the 2nd time this year fortunately only a few miles from home. My Autosleeper camper broke down in a B & Q car park - the starter motor jammed. It took them 2 phone calls & 1hour 40 mins to attend (or rather Walls Recovery of Llantrisant South Wales again) and recover me to my local garage.

My first breakdown in many years was back in February when I found my self stuck on a very narrow wet greasy country lane in South Wales with the clutch burning out and waited for 1 hour 10mins for a recovery to arrive. Again this was Walls Recovery who when he arrived advised that he would have to get a 4 X 4 as where I was stuck he could not reach with his big truck.

Eventually some 5 hours later he came back saying that he could not get hold of a 4 X 4 so had collected up all the extra chains / cables he could & would have to try and  winch me slowly up to where it was flat at the main road where he then could load me up on his truck

So much for the statement "we will attend & deal with all breakdowns in less than an hour" - Is this typical problems with Mayday service & agents ?

Or have I just been unlucky ?

I'm now just hoping my previously excellent record of lack of breakdowns returns.
