You realy should ask them for the best answer. I think like all the breakdown services it depends a bit on the problem and your circumstances. They will get you home and the car to your dealer on some levels of cover though if the car cannot be repaired at the roadside.

Write your comments here...thanks for that, the reason I asked here what say and what they do may be different, I am assuming that car is not repairable and needs recovery, if they quote me within 10 miles of breakdown then it will not do for me, thanks for the reply

When we broke down, with caravan, inear Oswestry, they took our whole outfit to our booked site at Chirk, then gave us the choice of being taken home or to the local dealer of our choice the following day.

On the two occasions I have had to call Mayday, they were very good and attended within half an hour. Once when the cable broke on site and the other time when there was a puncture in the caravan tyre whilst towing on the road.

Only had to use Mayday once when we broke down with the caravan on the way home from a site.  They were very good and took car and carvan back home for us.  It will depend on your level of cover.  If you have roadside and recovery cover or above, they will take you to a place of your choice nationwide.  If you only have roadside assistance cover they will only take you up to 10 miles.

I think it's worth the extra premium to go for the highest level of cover. You never know when you're going to need it!

I would go for the top level but it is really down to personal choice and what you think is best for you.
