Increase about 4%. and yet the van is a year older, a years extra no claim ...... but still an increase.

Presumably you have dropped the value of your caravan on the cover premium as I am not sure that is automatic. When I used CMC I had to increase the value to the new model every year (new for old cover) as that was not done by the insurer. I think that no-claims only builds to 4 years.

Yes its a conundrum for sure, house & car insurance, broadband, water, Local authority demands, road tax. . .It seems never ending. Yet here we all are continuing to survive without the world ending🤷🏻♂️. It’s a wonderful thing the Human spirit. Happy Christmas😊

Posted on 26/12/2019 08:40 byWithout being an apologist for insurance (or cover) companies it does occur to me that it costs just as much to repair a 10 year old van as a new one and its only on the case of total loss that the age and low value would be an issue.Similarly with car insurance, one can cause just as much expensive damage to 3rd parties whilst driving an "old banger" as when driving new.
