Well, this is a bit rubbish...

Having booked a campsite in France for July 2019 through the club, I thought I'd take their advice in the confirmation email and get a quote for insurance for the trip.  Having also read on these forums and elsewhere members saying how good the club's insurance I was keen to see how much it would set me back.

It seems however that they don't actually want to sell any insurance for 2019 yet - having completed all the questions an error comes up saying that they cannot currently provide quotes for policies which have a trip start date after 31/12/2018! (See attached screenshot)

Come on CAMC - get your act together!!!

All seems to be working now, I've managed to get my quote and have bought the cover I need. Thanks Oneputt for your help.

GTP - I thought that it may be, but was only able to do a quick scroll through the forums before posting. In any case, it probably doesn't hurt to remind the club that this is a source of irritation to their members :).

Just thought I'd check it out 49 days £227 or £370 for the extra cover.

That's for vehicle and personal cover.

Don't need it as we get it with our bank account just thought I see how much it would cost.

I haven't checked recently, but in the past, I have found the level of cover offered by the Club is far better than the cover from my bank account.  I've also found that if you declare a medical condition, the bank load extra cost on the policy.  Certainly, in the past, the Club gave been more interested in changes of medication within 6 months prior to travel, and certainly in my case, have not increased the premium.  This was 2016, I think.  Wec havent been 'across' for the last couple of years.

Very sad but I'm afraid typical of this. No comment or reply from the Club about this. What is the purpose of this if they don't react to genuine problems and concerns?
