Club Wi Fi

Having experienced recent problems with Club's wi-fi & after 4 weeks of problem free wi fi on 8 sites in France (all free of charge) I can't help feeling the Club has been sold a very expensive lemon with overly complicated technology.  Sure its great not to have to leave the c/van on a wet day to get wi fi but, for goodness sake, what's wrong with installing a simple covered wi fi area close to reception, served by a simple powerful domestic router .

In any case it could never be viable to install all pitch embracing wi fi on every site in the network but for minimal cost ,close to reception wi fi areas could be installed albeit our great wardens would need to be a bit computer savvy to maintain service . Works well throughout Europe ( & yes I know our weather can be unkind ) but with membership & site bookings down (financial report last magazine issue) the Club should look carefully at effectively streamlining services to reduce costs.

Incidentally wi fi areas only need hard benches & are great social meeting places !!  In my humble opinion of course. Could be a free service as well!!
