Hi All,

Our MH is insured with the club, this is our 1st year touring and when we took our insurance they asked us what mileage we'd be doing, nit knowing I guessed at 5,000.

Well we've got six months left to renewal we will need more mileage. I rang the club and they said £75 for an extra 1,000 miles including a £25 admin fee!!! In your experience will the club drop the £25 fee?

Probably not. But you can only try. Is another 1000 enough? Better to add more than have another administration fee 😉

In this day and age of IT it is very difficult to control and find out who has access to your information. Mileage information is certainly recorded and put onto computer systems at services and MOT's and when my vehicle went for repair. No idea who has access to that info. Although at the time of repair, I would assume the insurance company who is paying the bill would. In any event I would not want to be in a position where my mileage was more than I had told them at the time of renewal. When I have put variations into insurance quotes on web sites, a few thousand has made very little difference to cost. So IMO in is not worth trying to cut it too fine. Especially as they all seem to charge at least £25 admin whatever you want to change.
