Caravan Insurance

I am a supporter of the Caravan Club caravan insurance cover but I want to point out to fellow members who may be about to renew their annual cover. I would especially warn those insuring on a "new for old" basis which involves that the insured has to notify the Club of the value they wish to insure..I did so for my 2012 Swift Challenger Sport 524SR (now known as a "524" as the sunroof is now standard so the "SR." is irrelevant)...I notified the club that new value to replace was £17,895,,,I was advised by them they had the price as £17,545...I advised them I had got the price checked by two sources, Swift's website and by phoning my Swift dealer and both were for £17,895....Caravan Club replied to me that £17,545 was the latest Swift price they had but on checking I find that the prices went up on 23rd February 2015 and are clearly documented on Swift's website so why are the C.C. so inaccurate at knowing the latest information, especially when customers are asking for new for old cover....I have asked them to comment that if a customer were just to ask for new for old cover and the C.C.think £17,545 is the price they think it would cost to replace said caravan, then what price would they pay out in the event of a write-off situation...Would it be the lesser or higher sum !

I am currently awaiting their reply.
