The FOS person that looked up the relevant file on CMC confirmed that in the event of a dispute regarding caravan cover they could not act and the CMC directors judgement was final as far as that course. 

They will be updating their website to that effect it is hoped,  , are you reporting your findings to the club to enable a response?

My enquiry to Financial Ombudsman Services today was in case I had been.

No I shall not be discussing with the club JVB. I am sure that they are fully aware. I spoke with their insurance dept before taking cover elsewhere. They seemed very evasive on this aspect and unable or unwilling to give me a satisfactory and definitive response. Hence why I finally enquired of the FOS

I have no doubt that you may report to the Ombudsman but that does not mean that he can intercede. As CMC stated ''The Financial Ombudsman Service may be able to consider a dispute with this firm.''

some folk must be really bored to spend so much time on so much trivia when there is such a simple answer, if you dont like it walk away. I wonder if the FOS has a record of how many cases relating to the CMC have been lodged during the last 20 years
