(Moved from Tips fro making Caravanning and Touring Cheaper)

Hi all.

Just received a letter and leaflet from CClub re: Green Flag/Mayday rescue, which has prompted me to ask a question regarding Motability vehicles and caravans.

When someone joins the Mobility scheme and takes delivery of their new car they also recieve a breakdown and recovery deal with one of the major services ie: RAC. Motabilty state that should your car breakdown or require assistance then your car will be fixed at the roadside or transported to a garage for repair or to your home etc, as normal, and if your towing at the same time then your van would be recovered aswell.

However, if your caravan should breakdown whilst being towed then unfortunately it is not covered by Motability. My question then is, how do you cover your caravan for breakdown recovery?

Hopefully one of you out there who is on the Motability Scheme could advise me on what they do, or of course advice and suggestions from anyone else would be appreciated too.

Appologies if this subject has already been covered, I could'nt find it, perhaps I could be pointed in the right direction! Looking forward to any replies.

Have a nice day.
