Am I insured if I cancel Club membership?

I've been reading the paperwork and it's not very clear.

It says that you need to be a member to take out insurance which I was at the time but my club membership and insurance renewal dates are several months apart and I will have cancelled my club membership whilst still insured.

Has anyone come across this situation?  I'm happy enough to insure elsewhere and cancel my policy through the club but if I don't have to it's better still.

Hmm...just looked at insurance at the top of the page and it says "non-members can get a quote," so maybe you are ok? haven't read anymore, just that bit.

That raised my hopes but lower down it says you have to join before they process the application.

Hope you realise, JayEss, that the CC caravan policy does not give return of premium for mid term cancellation, so may be cheaper option to renew your membership on minimum basis and move your insurance at renewal. Just a thought.

That's one of the options I'm thinking of but I think I'd lose less than the membership fee if I did cancel as the premium isn't much on our 10 year old van.

I checked this out with the other club as we were insured with them but no longer members and there were no problems.

Renewals brought a higher premium though.

Always worth asking the insurers if you are in doubt about anything.
