A "not very honorable" CC member

Hi All,

My wife and I have been doing a good deal of research on awnings the past 4-5 weeks.  As I am an arthiritic sufferer we though we would opt for a good size porch awning.. something like the Ventura marlin or an Isabella magnum.

We were pleased to see what we wanted for sale on the Club Classified site and agreed to purchase from a fellow member.  We agreed the price and the seller was to investigate the postage to Ireland.  We cannot source a good quality second hand awning here in Ireland.  We were pleased but two days later we received an email from the seller advising that he had sold the awning locally as HE felt the £63 courier costs were too high.

We made a concious decision to buy from a CC member.  There are many awnings for sale on other sites but we felt the integrity of members was unquestionable and any that we have come across in our less that 12 months membership have been fantastic.

Needless to say, I rang the vendor on Sunday evening but only got a message minder and of course have not received a reply.

Dissappointed...time wasted... and really considering our future membership.  And, we have no confidence in the Classified Adverts now.  And, we have no awning !!
