Why can't Joint member can't access CL+Other

Hi, my wife is a joint member of CC with myself as lead (purely down to luck as I happened to be the one that initially went on the website) and finally decided to register on the website so that he can look up sites to plan our holidays. 

To both our surprise, and her extreme annoyance, it appears that as she is 'only' a joint member she cannot see CL details, Archived Magazines, amongst other things. Surely this is extremely stupid and petty! - At first glance it would appear that she has no more access than non-members - she isn't interested in posting to CT - just planning our holidays (and it would save me a lot of earache if she could look things up rather than have me shout at me to do so).

Please could the powers that be look into this - I can see why some aspect might need to be restricted - but surely if we are joint members that we should at least be able to see the same things, even I (as lead) have to do the bookings / renewals ...
