What's in a Name?

Given that ‘Caravan’ is one word and ‘Motorhome’ is also only one word why are posters referring to the ‘Caravan and Motorhome Club’ as the ’CMHC’ and not as the ’CAMC’.

Hasn’t the Caravan Club given the Motorhome fraternity enough recognition?

Or is there some kind of covert plot aimed at Motorhome domination and an eventual takeover? undecided

Discuss!!! wink

It has for some time been my understanding that Motor caravan is the official classification for this vehicle type.  So I’m with you on this one JVB66.

Doesn't take long on this forum to digress from the subject of the OP though, does it!!

They are known as motorhomes. What is the problem with that and how is it digressing from the OP to discuss the name, even if it is for the hundredth time?

Ever since the Club made the decision to change it's name this subject has been very widely covered and we are just over going over old ground so rather than start to duplicate what has already been said I will close this thread. The OP is welcome to search through existing threads if he wishes to comment further.

Thanks

David
