Web Site Problems with Chrome

Is it just me or has anyone else had a problem amending a booking using Google Chrome? I tried it a few times and then went on chat and had it done manually. Recently I wanted to extend my stay on a site, went on Chrome, no joy at all, switched to a different browser and it worked perfectly. I would be interested in other members views.

I never use Chrome but that’s very interesting seeing Helen told us that Chrome is the browser of choice for this site. undecided

...yes, I noticed that, too....and that the club thinks that 'clearing cache' is the answer to all the sites performance issues.

as it happens, perversely, the site seems to be running fine on 3G roaming in France, whereas at home on fibre it can be a dog....

It's running well at the moment, BB, even on my fibre connection at home.smile

To be fair, it wasn’t too bad yesterday so I suspect somebody may have applied a plaster.

I use a BMW forum which runs despicably slowly on Chrome but like lightening on Microsoft Edge...........

So I've tried Edge for CT...........

Alas, still woefully slow..........

I've tried I/E, Edge, Firefox and Safari. There's no difference at all. My conclusion is that it’s not the browser, the OS, my connection or the device. That only leaves the site.

I have used Chrome for this website for a couple of years now with no issues except what we have experienced recently in terms of speed. Must admit that I have not tried to amend a booking recently.

We have stopped using Chrome, I don't think it makes much difference on here, the site either works well or it doesn't.

IT ain't Chrome - It's this poorly specified and configured website that causes the problems.surprised
