Vote against the Chairman's Re-election

I was delighted to discover that in response to the Club's invitation to vote on line, I was able to make a proxy vote to instruct the Chairman to vote on my behalf against his re-election.

I feel he made such a fool of himself and of the Club by instigating the Caravanner of the Year competition that he is not fit to continue in office.

Please follow my lead and make use of your vote.

Cholsey Grange. JVB

I am trying to understand how all this works. I can of course go through East Grinstead but I thought CG would be happy to explain on CT to save the time of head office staff  .

Probably busy at weekends but he has posted earlier today

Looking at the list of members nominated for Office and Committee in the magazine I am saddened that there are no women. As I have said in previous posts we need to move into the 21st Century and show a more balanced outlook. Yes, I know it is up to women to put themselves forward, but it wouldn't hurt for us to encourage more diversity amoungst those who 'run' our club.

No one should be given a job because of their gender, race, creed or religion.  It should all be on merit and their capabilities!

I had not realised there were no wo en involved but it is correct. I cannot remember there ever being a woman proposed and have no idea why. A womans or womens touch would do no harm and it might be a good idea for the club to try and encourage them to put themselves forward although for me the job should go to the most appropriate whatever their sex.

Not sure what you've been reading but what about Janet Moore (Vice-Chairman) who stands for a term of three years, or the six women standing as nominated members?

Dave is correct.  Janet Moore is the only female on the executive committee, but there ae female nominated members, including the Club Chaplain.

I love the caravan programmes if it puts just 1 person of caravanning then it's done its job more room for the rest of us

Plenty of room if you look beyond club sites even in peak periods.

True but they will put the price up to cover the lost income.

Well I know someone on this forum who has been a senior manager in several multinational companies and been responsible for multi million pound budgets.

That person also is qualified in commercial law and recently did a degree in management with a specific focus on business strategy. Don't think that person would bankrupt the CC.

That person would be delighted to offer their experiences to the club but that person has no idea who to approach

Wonder which poster that might be?

If that poster is so qualified and intelegent im sure they could find out who to contactWink
