TIME for a RANT

I've just been reading the latest news letter & got interested in 'Meat The Team' & traced back through the previous entries. I have previously passed comment on this matter in a members questionaire , namely that it would appear that a lot of our TEAM do not caravan, look at some of the comments 'I stayed in my aunt's static as a child',  'I stayed at a site once, I rented the cottage there through 'cottages for you''. These comments are typical of senior staff members even a regional sites manager doesn't appear to use a van. Is this typical of the people we are paying to look after our interests . ie very little practical knowledge but a 'professional' pen pusher . How on earth can these people have any idea of the practical problems encountered by the membership . Am I the only one that feels a little offended by this.                          Read the interviews & then see what you think of it. I'm not saying that an IT bloke needs to know or a customer service agent has to, but wouldn't it be nice to know that the people who matter have some shared experiences with us. Can we trust any reviews by professional journalists for instance . I strongly believe that a prerequesite for any new appointees should be much more than just a try at something similar. There should be positive discrimination towards people with a common interest to us
