The nonsense of Affiliated Sites.....

I know there has been much discussion about the 72 hour cancellation rule on this forum.      There is a further anomaly regarding this rule and sites listed on the Club sites list.

We have a booking for 5 nights at Baltic Wharf which I booked thinking it was Harbour Festival but I booked the wrong weekend.  The weather is so hot that we don't want to stay in a city and I have been trying to transfer under the rule of 'an alternative Club site' to a more rural site so we can go walking instead.

The only sites available are Affiliated sites.  I have no objection to using an AS but I do object to the fact that they are not included as 'an alternative site' for 72 hour rule purposes.  What is the point of them being listed in the 'Club Sites' list if they are not covered by the same rules?
