Page 20 of the February 2024 magazine introduces members to an offer for the Samsung Freestyle (2nd Gen) Smart Projector. I wont repeat the description here, you can read yourself if not already done so. It is a full page advert.

I really can't wait to see these dotted around site of a night....especially with the "Built in 360 deg Sound for an Immersive experience for everyone to experience" ...I can almost see members picking up their chairs...together with a glass of their favourite tipple...and having a wander around site to see 'Whats on"

Will the Site Managers be warning users that any 'adult content' must be shown after the watershed...

I have seen various outdoor projectors advertised or shown in use by campers. If you are well away from others fine, if you must.  But please not on campsites. We all know that sound travels. Even tv sound from awnings can be really disturbing. I want to go away for peace and quiet not to hear someone else’s film choices.

Exactly what I thought Steve. We have had BT headphones for years, I sometimes garden in mine.

I wouldn’t have thought it that difficult to link Bluetooth headphones to such a system, then nobody would be inconvenienced.

You can ...but as I understand only a max of two as in most smart devices. I may be wrong.

The advert shows a family...(no headphones).

Having seen this advertisement, I was reminded of an incident that occurred about 30 yrs ago on a caravan site owned and run by my brother. Clay Pigeon CP in Dorset. A family was sat starring at a large cardboard box on its edge on a table at the side of their caravan. Yes that box contained a quite large TV. Having taken down their awning prior to leaving the next morning, I suppose the box was to help prevent glare.

Some 15 years ago we used a projector for work and I would take it home on summer weekends to enjoy family film nights in the garden with the picture projected up on next doors garage wall. We also watched a few Super League late night games this way, what with it being a summer sport.😉 Thankfully, living out in the countryside, our accompanying sound system was unheard by the neighbours who lived quite a fair distance away.
Wouldn’t inflict a campsite with the likes, mind. Rapido made a motorhome a few years back with one mounted in the habitation lounge area!
