Site prices uncompetitive?

Is it just me or are the Caravan Club sites beginning to look a little uncompetitive?

I know the argument goes that the sites are better, you know what you are getting etc etc...  but to be quite honest, I have begun to find that commercial sites offer just as good (and in some cases better) facilities than the caravan club at a far more manageable nightly rate.  

In my opinion the Caravan Club is beginning to price itself out of the market...  I for one will consider my membership next year, particularly as I can generally never get on a club site where I want to be so HAVE to go looking for commercial ones anyway!
