Should the wardens report members to H/O.

If what is read on here is accurate, there seems to be many members who flout the CC on-site rules.

It is part of the warden's duties to enforce those rules.  Backed up by Grimstead Towers.

What is needed is for those members to be reported, by the warden to H/O, whereupon there would be a record kept and after the third infringement, that said member would have their membership revoked.

Time to get tough with those who don't think the rules apply to them.

Cool

I think 24 hour security patrols is probably overkill on a caravan club site.

Of course I respect everyone's views; however, and in my humble opinion, I joined the club to enjoy holidaying and relaxation - not to police club rules.

I am in the "it's not for me to do anything" camp - with respect to protecting myself, family and in the spirit of being a good human being - yes there is a time to intervene.

However, being interested in other peoples actions and reporting rule breaking is not on my agenda when I go to a CC site - regardless to any membership of neighbourhood watch.

Of course each to their own....

I am more than happy to help anyone who is in need. However I don't think policing the site in case someone is treading on the wrong piece of grass is helpful

Write your comments here...I agree, and helping fellow campers is regular occurence, from what I have typically experienced.

Mick, would you not help a busy warden by pointing out something to him which would help him do his job and make other people's stays more pleasant? Alternatively, you could shrug your shoulders at a safety hazard or polluted pitch which occurred due to rule breaking because it's not on your agenda.

I will help anyone who needs it or asks for it, as for anyone not adhering to rules, only my problem if it directly involves my stay, my peace, my holiday. Let the warden handle his site, I'm not interested.

On Tewksbury site recently 31st March/2ndApril and had 2 adults throwing a frisbe on the road in front of my sister in laws caravan and my own, after it had hit her awning and even gone inside I asked them to stop, which they did after voicing their opinion that it would not damage cars or caravans.Would you want to take the chance with £45000 of car and caravan? Is this the right example to set to children, they had 3 or 4 between them.I did not report matter to wardens as I did not want to cause any more unpleasantness.

...And that is why this wind up thread got "lost" as the "waste on pitch" post was the start of it getting stupid as a "mention to the staff and perpetrator "would posibly have saved a problem with the next user of the pitch, but from that point it just has got silly
