Serviced Pitches

When I first joined the club everyone appeared to be on an equal footing as far as pitches were concerned. You pulled on to the site, found a spot and put the kettle on. After recent visits to Littlehampton and Grafham Water it now appears that If you can pay more you can have a special pitch. So now we have a two tier club which allows those with more money to have their pick of the pitches. To make things worse the booking system will tell you the site is full unless you upgrade to a service pitch. The Littlehampton site was not full as most of the service pitches were empty. It is fundamentally wrong that pitches are left unused when members wish to use the site. Surely the idea of belonging to a club is that everyone is equal irrespective of their financial situation.
