Rising Cost of Caravanning

Am I the only one who thinks it is getting too expensive to caravan?  Road fuel, insurance, road tax, servicing costs have all risen, and having just done some sums to cost an August holiday with school age children, I find that it is going to cost me in excess of £655 to stay at Hillhead. That's a lot of money to have to find when my salary has not risen at all in real terms for the past four years, so I have come to the conclusion either I use CLs more often or sell the caravan and pack it in.
