Would anyone else find it useful if the lozenge number of a site was added to the on line search? We're currently flicking from the tablet, to the book and back again. Maybe if others thought it could be useful, we could suggest it. Interested in your thoughts. Tia

this is interesting, do you mean the number on the club's paper map of Britain with all the sites on it?

If so not for me personally as I now use the search by map facility on the UK holidays tab to find a site in the area I want then 'drill down' to find further details of the sites in that area. Before this was available I did use the paper map, and then use the sites handbook to do the same.

An interesting post, I wonder how others do their searching and booking

Same as you corners, we decide on the area we want to go and then use the map search facility. Of course now with the new App you can search within a radius of your chosen point. Although the current minimum is 25 miles, and if you find that a site is full you cannot search within a radius of said site, it has to be a place name. So I suppose no, we would not find it useful.

Decide on an area, then take a look on paper map, on website, on UKcampsites. We don't limit our options too narrowly.

Both that and having the site number listed alongside the site on the web-site. I'm with you, Rich.

I do all my research and bookings online either on the pc, tablet and now the sites app.  Very seldom even look at the handbook and even less so the paper map.
