Posted on 07/04/2019 15:46 by JVB66But then It is the same with some commercial sites that do "loss leaders" pitches out of season when us oldies can take advantage ,but then it's the youngsters who have no option but to use them in peak and pay very high prices which are to off set what we paid

I am afraid you joined the wrong club if you were expecting discount for the over 6o s, the c &cc yearly subscription is a lot less and you get a discount on c&cc sites. If you find it difficult to meet the very high cost of staying on a camc site may I suggest you try the cl network their are some excellent sites some with toilets and showers

We are now well into our sixties, would I like age related discounts? Of course I would! But thinking back through our lives we really needed those discounts when the family was young and disposable income was a pipe dream. To be honest the need then was much greater than it is for us now. Just having the ability to book midweek during 'non holiday periods' when most young families are tied up with work and school is a bonus to us. Maybe discounts should reflect all age groups but please don't offer those family discounts like some package holiday firms do linked only with school term times, that's just plain antisocial, immoral and wrong.

Hi....and if you wish to use a MWD in the NE or Yorkshire....good luck !
We feel the CMC is not playing fair when there are smaller regions of the UK with many more MWD options, whereas here we have a choice of two....the nearest being Stockton-on-Tees and it's an awfull site !

Posted on 13/04/2019 15:22 by DavidKlyneWhy do you say that about White Water Park? When we went last year I thought it one of the better Club sites in terms of quality and I have been to quite a lot of Club sites.

I would agree with you DK, we like White Water.
Its well situated for lots of sight seeing, there are good shops close by and miles of cycle/walking paths.
The site has not long had a lot of the grass pitches made into hard standing, I think its getting used more because of that.
The MWD does seem at times to revitalise sites, Seaview at Berwick used to have a MWD a few years ago, the site wasn't that busy then but nowadays its much busier. The club however have in the past few years closed the site in November rather than 3rd January.
