As per the latest issue of the club's magazine, the new Sites Directory and Handbook is on its way and will be delivered between mid-December and early January.

The club needs...

We need a HTML...

Firstly who is we? I assume you might mean you, but why are you thinking WE need anything?

Secondly why does the club need any of that? Is the present system working against the club? Why should the club spend money on your system? What benefits would it bring?  More bookings? People complain enough about not being able to get a pitch. Personally I think people are more concerned with actual club sites and their quality rather than websites.

CLs can do theirs and maintain them.

Do you really know what a CL is and how they operate?

It could even have a reservation system built in showing availability.

doesn't the club have that already?

But to be fair could you link some websites from the larger campsites that have your system in place so that we can compare?

We, all members of the club for the benefit of the club.

The club needs it because it is the way the current world is. Many many market dominant British institutions that were very established and thought that digital media was a fad are sadly no longer in existence.

So you are happy for the club to spend huge amounts on the handbook and a staff to maintain it, and the distribution costs, but you are opposed to a cheaper digital offering with better features and of more use to members.

The new handbooks have arrived, thats about a hundred tonne of plastic waste in the bin then.

People dont complain about getting a pitch, they moan about the farce that pretends to be a booking system. Most usually get what they want after spending hours trying to book and then phoning the sites repeatedly to get a booking.

Yes I do know what a CL is I use them. Quite often they have excellent digital media and online presence as being rural businesses they understand the benefit of being able to promote their little rural business to the whole world for little cost.

I listed the organizations that I think are class leading in the previous post, google the names.

What a load of poppycock. Certain members, a few I would guess, do moan when they can't get the site they want for the period they want, but they are in the vast majority. The system works well if one can be bother to use it properly.

How can you be so sure that all the members want this, the we you talk about? Can you name such companies that failed bacuse of it's booking system?

I would imagine that designing and implementing a new website/booking system/app would cost far more than simply getting printer to print stuff off. Certainly was at work. Printing was cheap. IT structures/websites were expensive

People dont complain about getting a pitch,

Yes they do, shall I reprint your complaints about weekend bookings spoiling your longer stay?

Could you post one CL that has this fantastic digital media presence?

I have looked and really no different to the club's.

I never said all members want it, I said it is needed by many in the club. I know that a fair number do not want change or progress dependent on your view.

Can I name major companies that failed due to having poor or no digital content, yes, many, many, of them. If you had any understanding of commerce you would know how poor that question is.

Yes, printing is cheap, that is why virtually all commercial media publications are moving or have moved to a digital platform. You had better tell them they are wrong.

I could post many that have very good digital presence, why you want to believe that rural businesses are not using digital media to promote their products.

You then try to tell me that there is no difference in the offerings of the Club digital media and some of the examples I suggested. Do you have the internet or are you making this up?

Nothing wrong in wanting to see change/progress, is there?
