hi got my membership renewal thought we were getting a great deal on saving £12 on booking our sites but pitch fees are different from serviced pitch

can I ask what a non member would pay on getting on our sites or is it members only

do you think our sites are getting a wee bit costly

I always try to get on certified locations now rather than club sites as cost is better

Back in the 70/80s we always used Roundhill - a proper campsite utilising all the qualities of the New Forest -you can't beat seeing the mares and foals being only yards from your caravan.

I hope it hasn't changed too much

Dogs are allowed

To reply to the OP - thanks for renewing bsctmauchline!

As confirmed by your fellow CT'ers you will pay £12 per night less than non Members on all Club Sites.

So glad you enjoy the CLs (and stories of others CLs sound fabulous)

Take care.

Helen

thanks for that I must say the club sites that we have visited in the past are very well run and kept to a high standard from the wardens but at a price over Private sites with the same amenities in the area  The CLs are getting to be just as better run as club sites and I think more members should be trying them out and more members with a little extra land might see a profit in expanding to being CL owners as of saving £12 can the club not give away to a few nights free to all members to see what we get for our £5 Helen

Husky,

If you like basic sites give Matley Wood (opposite Denny) and Lonbeech (near Ocknel) a try.  Dogs are OK at both. Don't forget the current 15% discount (GRASS15) available if you book online 7 days ahead

Setthornes is of course the only CitF option in winter.
