M6 Toll Concession

Never used it before, but remember that at one time as part of the Clubs membership there was a 'concession' in respect of the M6 Toll fee.

Travelling up to Anglesea tomorrow and suggested route uses the toll road.

Question is cannot find information on the Club site about this 'concession' and either what it is or even IF still applies. Searching for M6 Toll does not seem to work either.

Can anyone help with this. It would be appreciated, just from the point of view of finding out where on the new site the details are shown if at all!

Many thanks.

Hi BiT,

The concession still applies to CAMC members and discounts the toll fee down to the Class 2 car fee, instead of either Class 3 or 4 (caravan or motorhome).

details here:

We used it earlier this year with a £9 saving just for having the membership card handy. A fair chunk off the small membership fee.

Easiest to use a manned booth with cash I found.

Well, overwhelmed by both the very, very rapid responses and for the information supplied.

Truly appreciated.

We used it last month.  I think the price depends on what time of day you are travelling, but we were only charged the same as a car.  If your exit is at a non manned toll plaza (as ours was) just press the button for assistance.  They will instruct you where to show your membership card to the camera, then they will adjust the class/price.

The service area has a few caravan spaces, but if full, follow sign to HGV parking which is very well laid out and offers a lot more spaces. One of few lorry parking areas which is pleasant to use.
