I have just read the letters page of the April 2015 of the Caravan Club magazine. & I agree with Laura Reynolds letter regarding pitching on club site, but read with astonishment at the C.C's reply, do they really think people are stupid.

they say the reason the C.C are so strict on pitching (Car, Caravan, Awning) is to avoid the spread of fire, there must be at least 6 metres  spacing between facing walls of adjacent caravans, motorhomes or trailer tents & a minimum clear space of 3 meters between adjoining outfits in any direction.

so if we have to pitch car, caravan, awning. surely if everyone pitched caravan, awning, car, it's exactly the same distance apart as the caravan clubs way.

I have disabled caravanner parents, but they still have to pitch with the car furthest away from the door of the caravan.

so my question is WHY? can't the caravan club change the pitching idea to allow the towing vehicle to be parked near the door of the caravan.
