Is the CC really that bad?

With all the negativity about everything to do with the CC posted on here is it really that bad and if so why do people stick with it.  Seems teh same people in here moan about anythig and everything to do with it, so why not go and set up your own club with your own rules on dogs, sunday departures, magazine content, kids, showers, WHU, prices etc.

I am guessing it would be OK for a club with a membership of 1 but after that the same old issues would rear their head
