Our membership is up for renewal soon I just cannot see the point in doing it at this point in time. The last time we were away on a site was September and at this time we do not know when the next time will be.Any one got any thoughts on this ?

Luckily my membership renewal fell at the end of march so I was able to cancel straight away. I can't see a point in paying out ( regardless of cost ) money for a service you won't receive, and when its all over just rejoin easy.

Rejoin what! with that attitude and lack of interest in supporting the CAMC through difficult times, just be lucky if there is a Club to rejoin. It's a business like any other that relies on income to see itself through.

The club is like all other businesses, looking out for themselves, so why should we worry about them. If when it comes to going away again they are no longer around I am sure there will be plenty of other options to choose from

If things are as bad as that, and if the Club is relying on subscriptions to stay afloat, and if it's in danger of going under ...then 2021 might be the year for the two big Clubs to merge, or for one to take over the other. There would be considerable financial savings with just one head office instead of two, and one single management team.

I have often thought this might be the way forward in the way-distant future, but I suspect we have a long road ahead before that is even a serious thought   No doubt time will tell.

Yes, we could achieve the synergy of the worst of both worlds rather than taking the best of them.

It really needs a third company to take over both and cherry pick the best bits.

I’ll be interested if you’re organising an investor group👍🏻

The problem is that one person's best bits are someone else's worst bits and vice versa.

Best to keep them separate as they do, I think, cater for two differing types of camper?

So what are your perceived differences between CAMC and C&CC campers?

One major difference is the arrival -   CAMC units race around the site to try and "bag" the best pitch ( normally on the second lap) whereas CCC arrivals are controlled by the speed of the site managers bike.  laughing
