"Enjoy your holiday" email from Club HQ

We are shortly to go to southwest Cornwall.  More than 300 miles, so  a one-night stopover booked on line for Cadeside in both directions.    I have now received two of the above emails, both reminding me to cancel the booking before the 72-hour deadline if we decide not to go.   Using this solicitation as a means to prompt formal cancellation if there is any intention not to arrive seems hollow to me.  If the Club want to give such a reminder, why don't they do just that?  On about the same level as the cold caller, who says that he isn't selling anything, then goes on to do exactly that!
