Enjoy Your Holiday Club E-mails

I’ve just received 2 emails from the Club hoping I enjoy my holiday for 2 one night stopovers at the end of March and beginning of April - over 2 months before we go. Is this a new policy? Seems a bit of a waste as I expect I’ll get another nearer the time. Glad to see our membership fee is being used effectively!

Always had the emails but never over 2 months early!

No doubt an automated system chucks them out at a preset time before your stay.  Really annoying and meaningless.  Cue the defenders of the faith wink.

Suppose they might be along eventually if you whistle loud enough. Have you tried the Bat Signal?

I think the main reason for sending them is to prompt possible cancellations at an earlier date than might otherwise happen. There was certainly some wording re cancelling if it was not still required on the ones I received.

I have taken such reminders as 'n case you have changed your mind'

I too received an email to remind me of a booking we have for Easter this year, why can't they be more pro-active with 'my Essocard / pumpking

It is a long time back but the club did say that the introduction of these e mails had reduced late cancelations and no shows by a considerable amount. If that is right then there is good reason to send them, but that wording might be changed a bit to reflect that some are overnight stops on the way to somewhere else. Probably the cost of progamming the computer to have a different one for overnight stops cannot be justified.
