Does the editor know what's in his magazine?

Page 3 of October mag editor states he does not want to spoil the enjoyment of reading the tow car supplement, turn to page 15 and voala Volvo XC 60 claims tow car prize. Just makes me wonder if the editor actually reads the mag before its distribution 😄

On page 31 there's a superb picture of the Snowdon Mountain Railway. But the caption claims it is the Ffestiniog Railway.

Don't forget last months article on Scotland. Edinburgh and Forth bridges with a map naming the Murrary Firth.

I expected an acknowledgement of such a glaring error in this month's magazin. If there was I missed it 😉. Maybe the IT dept do the magazine as a lifeline 😲😲

They are either proving as most on  here know, that they very rarely notice an thing posted on here, or as suspected just ignore it hoping it will soon go away,

If the posts pointing out the glaring mistakes in the magazine have been "noted"then not to publish an amendments ,is just down to plain incompetence on the part of the "proof readers?"at the magazines editorial team

The magazine has gone down hill in recent years.

Now I'm lucky if there's even one article I want to read each month, and looking at previous magazines the same areas are covered again and again, showing a huge lack of imagination.

I've suggested the club do a magazine free version of membership. I'd be happy not to receive it and pay a bit less.

I suspect that the club would loose more money from advertisers than they would save by not sending out the mag! I have probably opened one copy in the last 3 years and probably equally as infrequently in the last 10 years.

The C&CC offer a £6 reduction in annual renewal fee but make their saving by not providing a sites book or sites map.

These recent errors are not a new thing, they have been going for quite a while and happen every now and again, I remember one review of a site (Newcastleton?) said it did not have toilets/shower when it did.

Those "proof readers" could well be the same persons who are responsible for the IT on this forum!!
