Does the Caravan Club really value children?

We have been caravanning for about a year now with our 4 children. We love every aspect of it, but do worry about the attitudes of some of the older members of the club who seem to regard children on site as a nusiance. This  view has been back up by the fact that for the last 2 years we have noticed that the winners of the CL of the year have been adult only sites, and this year 2 out of the 3 winners were adult only. Should sites that discriminate against parts of the caravanning community really be allowed to win awards like this?  Should there be a separate category for adult only sites? (We appreciate that no one wants to holiday surround by children all the time!)
