Communications preferences

Having just joined my first task was to go to my profile and turn off some communications preferences.

The club is remiss in not providing appropriate checkboxes during the sign-up process, this suggests to me that the club does not really want me to turn these off. I am immediately irked!

When I got to the page there was insufficient explanation of what each option allows. I don't want my email cluttered up with junk, and I will not stand for being sent text messages, phone calls or junk mail. If I want something I am more than capable of looking for it and finding the best deal for myself. The only reason anyone wants to contact me is because it is to their advantage, never mine.

So, club take notice and do something about this.
