hi

crazy I know but what about helping the club we know and LOVE at these uncertain times,  I reckon most of us could afford a couple of quid or even a fiver each. We could all donate now to help out.

stupid idea or what ?

Problem with that MM is if you have a claim and they see that you are no longer a member, then they may invoke the we may pay clause.

Even the CC can't be that thick skinned!

I'll be paying my membership fee soon, that's £54 towards the club (we have van insurance with them just now.) smile

Hi Brue, just been reading this thread and saw the comments re insurance.

We continue membership to be able to get the fantastic ferry discounts and use CLs, and that's only as there is one app 300 yds from our daughters.

So far as insurance, I know mine is cheaper but decided to get a quote, which I have just done, for my van.

My renewal in February was £218 the clubs price-5 minutes ago-was £478.

That's a lorra lorra LOVE!

We insure our motor home via the club, can't remember the exact figure just now but it's around £230 arranged earlier this year. If the lock down starts to ease but holidays are still restricted at least we might be able to have days out in the M/H? We've done what we think is best for us in these difficult circumstances.

The way CMC have been shooting themselves in the foot of late , I think you would have a better chance of platting fog than getting donations.😀.

Wait untill the chancellor reduces the furlough payments, then instead of us as now subsidising  at 80%of salaries it will be maybe 50% then many companies will be sending begging letters,  they will also be sending out redundancy notices to staffundecided
