Not sure why Rochelle feels that this is resolved without consulting the person who started the post. in reply: Thank you for all your suggestions. For the purpose of detail and to remove any doubt. These are roughly drilled holes. There are two holes that have been drilled on two separate shower panels. They are at hip height and in direct line of sight with your private parts whilst under the shower. One hole was open and the other filled in. Anyone who believes that these holes have been accidently drilled by a contactor is simply naive. I also have a significant amount of training and dealing with safeguarding issues in my role as a foster carer. I am alert to this type of situation. As Rochelle from the CC states the holes have been there for a number of years. Unfortunately CC personnel want to believe that these holes were caused by a hole being drilled for shower fittings in the wrong place. Simply not true and naive, think about the height and location of the holes. One of my concerns is that the CC can’t seem to accept that there is an issue here that needs addressing. When I reported the incident to the very nice wardens on site, one of the wardens accepted that the hole had been pushed through since the block had been cleaned the previous day. I have since spoken to a warden who had previously worked on Tredegar site for 4 years. He has told me that he had to fill those holes in with Araldite at least twice a year, but they kept getting poked through. Araldite is a very hard substance and just doesn’t fall out! He also stated that he had tried to work out over that period of time who the culprit might be, without success. It is for this reason that I know the problem has been there for a least 5 years. I have been waiting for two weeks for the area Manager to telephone me. I have asked the CC regional officer to provide me with contact details so I can escalate the issue and have waited 10 days for a reply and still waiting.

Well done for not allowing this discussion to close when there is clearly an issue. Whether the holes were accidentally or deliberately drilled they are there and pose a safeguarding issue which the club certainly needs to be addressing with a more permenant solution than a bit of filler.  New panels or secure patches at the very least.  The blase reply that it has been resolved (when it clearly hasnt because the holes are still there - even if temporarily filled!) and the discussion is now closed reveals a lot about the club and its attitudes.

Well and the risk of raising my head above the parapet I have agree with bmbonanaza comments.

I sincerely hope you have raised this matter with the police if the holes ste as you the OP suggests and not as described by the club.

I hadn't realised you had raised the matter so long ago and still await a response.

A hole has been discovered in a shower cubicle wall.

The police are looking into it!

(sorry I just couldn't help it)
