Congratulations  on confirming what a lot of non caravanners think of us. A bunch of dork misfits. I couldn't believe what I was watching, moreover, how could the CC collude in this drivel.

Well we are enjoying the programme and what's more I would like to see most non caravanners reverse an articulated vehicle with speed and skill.

I am cringing and feeling stunned. I cannot believe the Club has been reduced to this level.

I'm absolutely outraged by this programme. It paints us as a complete bunch of idiots. How can you conceivably put all these different rigs in a 'competition' against each other. Why would you want to anyway. As a vanner of 30'years I am just appalled that the Caravan Club has associated itself with this drivel. It's wasn't even entertaining I just felt like dying of embarrassment.  If you want to compete then have classes - manoeuvring, pitching or whatever but by rig compare vans, compare motor homes but under no circumstances mix all rig types up it makes no sense.

i am deeply disappointed in the club that it has allowed this nonsensical stereotyping of caravanners to be aired on television.

seeing the cc chairman on this crap program makes me realise why the club sites are so regimented .who measures the sides of the awning to make sure both sides are the same.and that guy with his 81 year old mother i would not trust him on a push bike letalone towing a caravan.

It was that bad I had to watch it to the end. Even the narrator was quietly taking the mick. Perhaps the club could run a competition to see who has the longest check-list.

On a serious note it defies belief that the Club would sanction such a load of insulting drivel. I will be removing my CC badge first thing in the morning - after all who wants to advertise allegiance to such a bad error of judgement.

Somewhat astonished that they measured the skirts on an awning for being level but seemed oblivious that the van was parked MILES off the peg putting it too close to adjacent outfit which surely is a more important consideration?

We had a very entertaining hour, but only due to micky taking whatsapps floating about between various caravanning members of the family.

Seriously, though, the standard of the programme and the way people are portrayed by television types should have been something the club was on its guard against, This has done a great disservice to our hobby. Given the history on the BBC with Jeremy Clarkson etc the warnings were all there.

I kept expecting Jeremy Clarkson to pop out as it was the sort of programme he would make. How could our chairman lend himself to such drivel? The reversing section was to be expected in such a programme but is our chairman so anal that he thinks all those nooks and crannies should stand up to a white glove and the awning be three inches all round. I thought it was going to be for proper caravaners. And where did they get some of the contestants from? And these were the finalists! I hope they paid Andy Harris enough for it to be worth his while to lose the respect of caravan and motorhome owners that he has built up over the years.
