Advert for Green Flag / May Day

Is it possible to stop adverts  via the post and magazine inserts?

I feel I am being inundated with communications from breakdown companies via the Caravan and Motorhome club. I really can't see the point of inserting reams of adverts for 'fence paint', 'double glazing', 'wills', 'life insurance' etc, etc in to the club magazine, I don't read them, I just dump them into the rubbish bin.

I have tried umpteen times to 'unsubscribe' from the breakdown companies mailing list but I still get emails and letters through the post.

Please whoever is in charge, tell me that I won't receive any more 'rubbish' via the post or email.

Do other members have the same problem?

Perhaps the only way to resolve this problem is to leave the club. I am thinking about it.

Life as we live it runs on on advertising, magazines, newspapers, TV, social media, commercial radio etc etc

However if the club thinks that continuous funeral plan inserts are a good way to keep the membership happy then they may have lost the plot somewhat! wink

Inserts in the magazine provide revenue for it and the club. It takes only moments to throw it out if you do not want it and I cannot see any reason to make a fuss. These things are just one of the realities of life that you have to live with.

They may not interest you, but they must attract enough people to justify the advertisers paying for them, so someone is interested.
