Reading this months magazine the old eyebrows were raised when I read that the Club had ordered 50 brand new Adria caravans for its training centres. Now it also said that they had been supplied to the clubs own specification and would be used at the various training venues around the country. Maybe I have missunderstood but I presume these are the various courses which are organised to help members become proficient at all things to do with the safe use of owning a caravan.

I think the actual courses are excellent but is it really necessary to have brand new caravans for this purpose. Near where I work there is a HGV driver training centre and whilst their vehicles are all in good order they are certainly not new but they are in good repair and do the job.

Its a major investment of members subscriptions hopefully the course fees cover all the costs but I do wonder if its really the most cost effective option.

What do other members think?
