Excellent Site & Staff

Having booked the site I then read some reviews and to be honest had second thoughts, but went anyway! My experience was superior in every way to the negative reviews I found. Road noise - yes it's there but if you want easy access to a site off the highway there has to be a nearby road. Traffic noise is not something the site staff can do much about. This was our second visit in 12 months and the noise was noticeably down this year. Bird noise - yes we also had pigeons fighting or mating on our 'van roof. But the site is between the village and the countryside so nature is to be expected. I can't see what the staff could do about this as I'm sure members would not welcome a shooting party. I thought it might be rude to toss bird seed on my neighbour's roof every night - so didn't. Pitches - ours' was fine. We had a good look around and the others were pretty good too. I couldn't fault the pitches or their maintenance. Site staff - I didn't meet them all (Suz, Morgan, Lesley, Mike, Ian and Vikki) but everybody I came into contact with was delightfully warm, welcoming and happy to be of assistance - all with good humour. I could not and would not fault the staff at Moreton in Marsh. They were excellent. Facilities - all were at their usual high standard (and that was despite one member's foul failure to remedy his 'leavings' around a toilet bowl!). As members we've got to be more responsible for own cleanliness and give the hard working staff a bit of a break. I'm certain that individual would not have left their 'van, motorhome or home toilet in such a dreadful state (and yes I did take the toilet brush to it). Despite the best efforts of the local highways authority to thwart movement around the roads network (Stow on the Wold especially) the location was brilliant for all the things and places we wanted to do and see around that neck of the Cotswolds woods. We'll be back for sure.
