Second Visit and Disappointed Again

I am in agreement with several other reviewers who comment that this site is in need of some TLC. The pitches are small with cars parked in front of caravan. Why can't the club have decent pitches that will accommodate an awning and car parked alongside. A lot do and a lot don't! The pitches need some tidying up around edges and grass removed plus a top up of stones, as our patch, a hardstanding, had bare patches with mud. The crazy golf was appalling, broken, rundown and neglected. When raised with reception staff my comment was met by a complete rebuff from a rude female staff member whilst other club members were present in reception. Saying we were the first to complain was surprising as the condition of the facility is plain to see. Finally, the price I paid for a weeks stay on a hardstanding with awning was, almost to a penny, the same amount paid to a fully serviced super pitch on a 5 star private site with deluxe toilet block, brilliant shop, café etc with helpful and caring staff.

I guess you’ll know which site to use next time. Care to name the other site for the benefit of your fellow members?

Hi guys, the other site is in Devon, Oakdown Touring Park and not near Moreton-in-Marsh. Don't get me wrong the location of the site is good but for the money we are paying it should, in my option, reflect that. Facilities that are well below par should be commented on and actioned. Didn't expect to return a year later and find this particular facility in a worse state than before.

Oh dear, they don't like anyone to step out of line! Well said; and I'd add compared to France, Germany, Austria etc CMC sites need to revise their priorities - mowing the grass every other day is one that needs looking at.

No idea why you say that based on the responses. But never mind. Not a site that I would use personally

Mowing grass every other day in the same area?or when an area has been vacated?undecided

But then as the cc sites are as posted so often ,so full it is impossible to book a pitch then it seems the model is working surprised

Its not often I want a pitch but when I do its always possible.

Any thing is possible but the amount of posters who complain about lack of availabilty is quite common on here, we have very rarely not got a pitch when and where we wantsmilewink

Good Friday afternoon tactics - find an old, critical thread, like it to bring it to the top of latest activity - light the blue touch paper and stand well clear! surprised

Well done - you know who you are! frown
