Like being in a car park next to a main road

Just spent a long week at Moreton. Even though we arrived at about 12.30 very few pitches left so didn’t have much choice. (We found out later that quite a few don’t set up and wait for the next day leavers to go so that they can move away from the side of the park we were on). Very small pitches so have to park your car on the side of the road next to your hitch - so rammed in it looks like a big car park - not used to this on club sites. Very high trees so you never get the sun on your pitch - lovely if you like living in the gloom - and the main road is only about 30 metres away on the other side of the trees - lorries, cars and motorbikes roaring past all day from very early - luckily I had my noise cancelling headphones so I could actually hear my music in the awning. Clearly the location is the draw and the club charges premium prices for sub standard pitches. If you do go, I would suggest you don’t set up if you are forced onto the side of the site next to the road and wait until someone leaves next morning On the other side so you can get away from the road and into the sunlight. We will not be returning.
