As a family we have stayed at this lovely site many times, however we will have to think long and hard before returning again. The greeting from the wardens was as ever friendly and informative bar one vital ommission. No mention of the construction site on the old dog walking field. As per previous reviews noise and dust from 8am to 5pm each day, along with some colourful language was the backdrop to our stay. How sad that no notice of this work is placed on the CAMC website or acknowledged by the wardens on arrival. However not to be perturbed we carried on with our stay. Overall the site is badly in need of refurbishment. The pitches are in very poor condition and very tightly packed. The time is surely fast approaching when someone in authority the club, needs to grasp the nettle and decide to reduce the pitch numbers in favour of space. I fear however financial heads will keep things as they are, sacrificing space and safety for profit. If you are planning a stay, it would be advisable to avoid the weekends. Full capacity and feral children will detract from your enjoyment. I too am a father of a young child, however running through pitches, cycling round caravans and using the roads as a raceway are not something I would allow him to do. In this respect however I don't this this site is on its own. This all sounds dreadful, but a once lovely site is sadly losing its charm and appeal which surely must be addressed.
