Good base for sightseeing

We stayed for 5 nights in Easter school holidays. Whilst there we had some rain, unfortunately our pitch ( and quite a few others) were waterlogged. As the road on the site is very uneven this was totally waterlogged too with huge puddles! As obviously the British weather is not the sites problem, I feel they need to do some maintaining of their pitches. Maybe as it's the beginning of the season and wet weather is a given they do not do this till further into the season? The children's park area and dog walking area( big fields) were also totally waterlogged they didn't get much use even when the sun was shining. I expect this site in the summer months is lovely. The toilet blocks also weren't as clean as others we have been to..although maybe I was just unlucky the times I went in. Brilliant base though to get to other places from, lovely part of the country. Staff as always for a caravan club site were lovely and friendly.
