Beautiful site but with one downfall

We have just returned from a 3 night stay at this site. Well located regarding distance from the town - roughly a flat 1/4 mile walk into the town. The facilities were the usual high standard that we expect for Caravan Club sites and the site is well laid out. The site was very busy, we arrived on a Monday lunchtime and there were about 3 empty pitches, all of which back onto the very busy A44. The incessant noise from lorries and motorbikes on the road 24hours a day was unbelievable. I'm sure if we'd been on a pitch nearer the back of the site it would have been fine, but it is well worth noting that there is a possibility you may be left with one of these pitches before booking. Such a shame as the site itself is lovely, well laid out and of high standard, but may not be brilliant for families with young children or nervous animals.
