Autumn break at Moreton

Used this site for a long weekend break recently. It`s a big site and handily placed within walking distance of Moreton-in-Marsh, one of a number of visit worthy Cotswold towns and villages. Makes a great base for exploring this wonderful part of our country. I`m a great fan of the Caravan Club and its sites but, if I`m honest, this one is looking a tad tired. The pitches don`t seem to be the usual Club size so you`ll really struggle to get your caravan and awning on the hardstanding..........then there`s the question of where to put your tow vehicle. Most people, near to us, put their cars in front of their `vans. This barely left enough space to gain access to the site roads and manoeuvering to leave would definitely have been tight, assuming other occupants had not gone out for the day. The site also sits cheek-by-jowl with the A44. This is an extremely busy road that carries many large trucks. Why they have to rumble their way through this lovely Cotswold town I`ll never know. However, they do, and the noise they create is hard to escape, wherever you pitch on the site. Having said all that, it is a lovely site with smashing wardens so go use..........!!
